How were people oppressed?
The Jews lost their freedom. Hitler made a lot of laws against the Jews. Some are: “Streets with Jewish names had to be renamed”, “Passports of Jew had to be stamped with a J”, “Jewish employees may be discharged without notice or benefits”, “Jews not allowed to be tradesman”, and “Jewish children no longer allowed to attend public schools.” Jews started to lose everything they had with all the laws in place. Like in the movie called The Pianist, Wladyslaw Szpilman had a friend and they were going to a cafe but with the new laws he was not able to go in the cafe and he was not allowed to sit on a bench and they were also not allowed to go to the park. The Jewish people were oppressed due to all the laws put into place. Their freedom was practically taken away by Hitler.
Why do you think people followed Hitler to help cause such oppression? Was it his strength? Was it fear?
ReplyDeleteYou did explain why the Jewish people were oppressed. The examples that you had were specific at one point with the street names and the children not being able to go to public school. Also with the Jews having to get there passports stamped with the J. Further more you put an important part with that Hitler took their freedom. It was also important that you put in they bases this problem off of. You could have also added a link to more thing that the Germans did to the Jewish people.
